Just Run

ROAD RUNNING RACE DEBRIEF:

Running in general is a privilege that I do not take for granted. I have participated in a couples of races thus far and my end emotion is always WOW!

It could be a “wow, what a race, aced it! 🙂 ”

Or it could easily be “Wow! WTF just happened?”

So many emotions before, during and after a race and one thing that’s clear through it all is: The person that starts the race is not the same person that finishes the race. The moment you cross the finish line, YOU ARE A WINNER. Why you ask? Because the finish line is an end of a hard fought journey of many steps, many hurdles and possibly uphills. It’s the passion, the dedication and will-power that makes it so sweet.

Running is such an empowering sport and yet it will humble you, it will force you to be patient with yourself, with your body and mind. Running has given me the courage to start, the determination to always push forward even when it gets tough and the spirit to have fun while at it. Giving up is never an option, you just gotta keep moving regardless of how slow you think you are going.

About 2 weeks ago I completed a night running race in Tel Aviv that was one heck of a challenge and about 2 months ago, I had an amazing race in Cape Town with outstanding results. The highs and lows of running are part of the process and your mindset evolves through all the changes during your race training, pre-race, during the actual race and post race. Embrace it

Happy Running and a very Happy Mother’s Day to all Mothers. Our Superheroes ❤️
